Population Notification 2019-02-17 GS

Thanks for these mods!)) I think it would be better to remove borders notifications when swap and purchase tiles and to remove population notifications when remove features like rainforests and marshes. And it would also be better for me to make notifications expire on the next turn.

Hi FearSunn,

First of all thank you very much for the mod; it's a very interesting and useful idea!

However, I cannot get it to work :3
I downloaded the 8RF bundle you uploaded, but with all of your mods enabled the game crashes back to the main menu. Is there a fix for this?
Unfortunately it is definitely your mods as disabling them all, the game starts.

Thank you, that worked!

I'm trying it on a previously started game, and for now only the population mod works (all are enabled). I don't know whether that's because they were added after the game was started or not.

So now this mod is a "pay to play" mod with 5$ monthly subscription. Trying to make money on the back of Firaxis devs is not very honorable to say the least, not sure such toxic behaviour is welcome here. Reporting.

Moderator Action: This is not true. The mod is free to use. Whatever is on STEAM Workshop or other sites has no bearing on what is here. leif

I don’t get why people complain even if it was $5. It’s still your decision to use the mod. I’d probably pay over $500 for a solid tactical AI.

I think you should check exactly where the link leads : it's an intentional front door to the workshop, for a minimal mod, where the guy ask for subscription to unlock the whole mod, with links and all the necessary stuff.

If every modders were so greedy, I doubt we would see any easy-to-mod games today, and devs would be far less friendly to share their work with players community. I really doubt Firaxis will see this kind of pay mod with good eyes. But you are the mod, your forum your rules, if you think it's ok, good for you.

I have no problem with donation, and have in past donated to some modders on nexus, but here we are talking about patreoning with 5$/month subscription. It's a whole different story : the guy is not relying on the generousity of players, he is just clearly selling a product, which is not at all in the same spirit.

Well I played 25 or so turns with that “population notification” mod on last night and it worked fine. All I see is a good businessman at work, give a great mod for free then suggest better mods for a few (which I may use if Compatible with GS).

BASE GAME CONFLICT FOUND
This mod conflicts with the latest 1.0.8.4 by making golden-age dedication button unselectable and the turn is unable to move forward until this mod is disabled.
