Porting Scenarios between versions.

It has recently come to my attention that you can port mods between the 3 expansion packs. Can you do this to scenarios too? I have been working on a scenario in vanilla and then I got warlords and BTS. I would like to transfer the scenario to Warlords, how can I do this? I attempted using notepad but I soon realised the Warlord scenario files were written completely differently.

The scenario files are identical, only the extension has changed. You don't need to do anything, Warlords and BtS both recognize older worldbuilder save files (Warlords needs 2.08 patch for this).

I noticed my BTS loaded the vanilla saves, so I need to downgrade my Warlords to 2.08 to get the scenario there... I bet Warlords 2.13 doesn't work with a 2.08 scenario file, am I right?

I'll just have to wait for the Total Realism Mod to move to BTS.

It will work fine. Scenario files don't get broken by patches. I don't think the format has ever changed.
