Does anyone see the Gold output? 387 GPT at turn 87. Bonkers!
To clarify, it appears that not only the foreign city be on the coast, but all parts of the trade route outside of your borders must travel through water. So if you were on a one face of a skinny continent, and another civ was on another the opposite face, even if they were separated by just a few tiles by land, you must go through the water with the trade route.

This post has been determined by independent fact-checkers as false. Reason is misinformation.
As a followup, I wonder if that means that you may have trouble building domestic trade routes if there's a gap between your cities.
Zombie damage scales up with the amount of zombies killed.
From livestream chat: If Portugal discovers a civ, they gain a trade route capacity, and then if that civ is eliminated, Portugal doea NOT lose that trade route capacity
So like how viruses work in real life.
You want to make them into armies after you control them, right?
Someone asked in chat what happens when a Vampire kills a Zombie. the official channel responded:
they then said this:
And then when you kill that with a vampire, you get Van Helsing.
Torre de Belem unlocks at Mercantilism
All that destruction I'm seeing doesn't really convince me the AI can deal with a Zombie outbreak
Do canals count as “water” for this restriction? They logically should, but I could see them counting as land depending on how it’s coded,
Zombies are in the same team as barbarians... ugh...
Interesting flow of events in that Carl/Zombies war!
Canals do qualify as water tiles. If the first tile your Trader enters is a Canal, its range will be 30 instead of 15.
Did they seriously not have that into consideration? What on earth.
Maybe it's just them being forgetful like with Mogadishu, lol.
They are still deliberately specifying that this is the last DLC pack for the New Frontier Pass
