I just finished my game with Portugal, I was able to get the role play victory. Here are a few thoughts:

1- The amazon forest is not fully accessible due to marshes, @Rhye I would say it is a bug.
2- Very difficult game, as soon as I founded my colonies my ability to keep up with the rest of the AI players tech wise got more and more difficult, probably because the overseas cities were rather small and not very productive.
3- Settlers are too costly to make, even more than some wonders and it made it really hard to found new cities. With Spain I used the conquistadores to offset this issue, but with Portugal I just did not have the productivity or the revenues to build/purchase enough settlers.

Attached victory save and some pics.

Nice game!

Thanks for the feedback.

I think that in the current state of the game, when you try to be on all continents, it's better to make a limited amount of cities there (2 for Brazil for example) but with high culture so that they get lots of terrain each (and therefore luxuries).

I like the sound of this. It bothers me in Civ 6 where the AI suggests I should settle in an "infinite city sleaze" matter. That should clean up the board, but makes sieges very high risk...

If you don't do Cities every 3 tiles, you're more likely that your cities are "on an island" without cities within two spaces' distance lending aid...
