Hi, people!

Since Civ 6 has been released with a Portuguese version, taht might attract a whole new lot of Portuguese speaking players to the series. I'm trying to gather them all to form a small online community about the entire Civilization series. So far, I've only started a small steam community where we can talk to each other on Portuguese - which we couldn't do here on CivFanatics. But we might consider other tools, of course.

So, if you're a Portuguese speaker (does'nt matter from which part of the world), and you're up to the task of buinding a up a web community from the scratch, please feel free to message me or answer to this post.

Thanks! Obrigado!

Vai embora, rapaz! (nah, just kidding). I speak some, courtesy of having been neighbor of your big empire-country for many years, but native is Spanish, so I don't know if I can help... let me know, we share common roots in linguistical terms anyways...

Tudo joia!

Well, @Aristos , thank you for your interest!

I can't speak Spanish at all - only in that horrible way Brazilians tend to do, the portunhol - but usually I can read and listen it very well. Well, most Brazilians do, I don't know why, but it's easy for most of us to understand some basic Spanish. It's even common to read Spanish academic books on universities without any classes at all (not that we would be able to read García Márquez on the original language, though). Anyway, our fellow hermanos are surely welcome to help us build our community. But since there are much more Spanish than Portuguese speakers in the world I would guess you already might have a Spanish speaking web community. Do you? If you do, I'd like to check it out too! Maybe it could even be very helpful for my research...

Ha, portunhol, works both ways mind you...! Everyone speaks portunhol in the Southern cone... Half of my original engineering degree was based on books in Portuguese, as the best literature at that time was readily available in your language (Brazilian books) and not in Spanish.. funny, huh? I never knew that you Brazilians were also subjected to the same phenomenon, reading in the sister tongue while in University... hard as it is, it later becomes a huge advantage. Having more than one language, even if the second or more is at the basic level, transforms the brain in a way that I cannot explain (I leave that to the experts), but that is very noticeable...

Portunhol, yes, so many memories...

Anyways, no, I don't have any Spanish community at all, but still, if you need help with some of the translations or anything, let me know... you know where to find me. ;)

Tudo joia! (I love that expression)

Are you planning on it being a Multiplayer community? If yes, I would be interested, as I have yet to get into MP and the oh so praised NQ group never even answered my calls...

I'd like it to be an everything Civ-related community - one step at a time, of course!

So that includes multiplayer games, sure!

Oh, by the way, your Extended Diplomacy Ribbon seems awsome! I'm not playing Civ 6 for now but I'll sure give it a try when I get back to it.
