the special effects? horrible beyond belief. nearly as bad as the old godzilla movies from the 60s at times!
the acting, bland, and empty...
the plot, hardly makes sense.
just... i cant explain it... its just simply horrible!

My dad told me about this one. He burned a copy (TOTALLY ILLEGALLY, btw), from Netflix and then sent it to me. I tried to watch it... but this was the first time I've actually been physically unable to watch a movie. I literally couldn't make much progress with it. It was beyond bad. It was... sad. So sad, it WASN'T even funny.

Eh, nonsense. It is at least entertaining (even if not on purpose) and enough people have seen it to enable it to actually win contests like this based on a popular vote. You don't even have to run it through MST3k in order to get several good laughs out of it, it gives you a good time right out of the box. I'm pretty sure that any worthy candidate to the title of "worst movie of all time" will belong to that category which is so obscure that almost nobody have seen them. I'm talking about the kind of thing that they review over on somethingawful, such as "Troll 2" or "Nukie".

My own personal anti-favorite of the movies I've actually seen is this thing here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098254/ -- a late-80s attempt at a horror anthology, which pretty much had the look and feel of a low-budget porn movie with the porn removed (even if the closest thing it had to a professional actor was a genuine porn star) and a vaguely Christianity-based kind of horror plot installed. In addition to having utterly amateurish production values it was painfully stupid and boring beyond belief, and didn't even have any MST3k potential.

Yes, it was stupendously bad. Didn't realise there was a plot actually. But it was the bad science that jarred too much for me.

Thoroughly bad plotwise, decent action, slick look. The sideways motorcycle chase was actually good! One of the most clever chase scenes I've run across.

A film that was thoroughly bad plotwise, had crappy action, AND looked awful: The Wing Commander Movie.
