Post Edit time limit

Is the 5 minutes post edit limit really necessary? I assume it just some native and default setting for this new forum service, but hopefully it can be either adjusted or removed entirely.

Just checked your permissions and they say that you have an unlimited time limit on editing your own post? Does this happen everywhere or in a particular forum?

Well, last time it was in a PM conversation, so maybe that is something different. It did happen before in a normal thread post, but actually don't believe I've encountered that in a while, so not sure there.
