Post Patch Culture Flipping

Ok, here is my question. In the patch readme, it says that with enough military unit, you can block culture flipping... so if I take a city with the military way, by putting military unit in it, I can prevent it from flipping to the ennemy...

I just want to know how many unit we need to put in it to be effective... Or if I just don't get iT, just explain me what is the change in the new patch :lol:

And I just want an answer, no flamming about if CF is cool or not, that is not the topic - Thank You.
 
I don't know if this is the actual number required but I've been using 1 military unit for each population plus one for each resister. I haven't suffered a culture flip yet using this, even when the city garrisoned was from a culture half again as big as mine, 10 tiles from their capital and 25 tiles from mine.

I'm going to start using 1 unit for every 2 population plus 1 per resister and see how that works.
 
I think it is a very large number. If the city is size 15, it will probably take like 50 units to keep it from flipping. Maybe not that large.

To me this implies 2 land units to every 1 foreign national. Note that you must also have full control of the city radius. I believe this is refering to the cultural boundaries meaning all city tiles must be within your cultural boundaries.

There may be other modifiers such as the number of citizens in resistance and the relative strength of the AI's culture compared to yours.

I think it is large too ... The reason for the question is that yesterday in my game, just get 10 legion in a 3 size city with 3 resister .... So I was just wondering how many I would need to modify the number I put in... Anyway...
 
Hmm... does anyone know if an army, with 3 units loaded in it, counts for 1 unit or for 3 units ?
I don't want to lose an army because of a CF...
