Emperor
Shale Plants.
Power stations that don't need Coal, and add +10% production.
Pretty low tier UB, all things considered.
But it's something we'll be building in most cities, anyway. But is it something that should influence decisions?
It strikes me that it frees Coal up for export, assuming an Oil supply to keep the trains running. Losing a raw hammer for not having Coal is easily offset by the +10% hammers and not getting unhealth from the Factory.
Now, if there's lots of Coal, then a Corporate game can work well. But:
- Toku isn't FIN, making a SP hammer economy more competitive compared with a CE.
- SP hammer economy has nice synergy with +10% production.
- Toku's only real strength is kicking heads in with Samurai or Gunpowder units, which at this stage suggests, again, a SP hammer economy.
All of which says to me Corporations be damned, comrades, leaving us with very little reason not to trade Coal for loadsamoney and take it off the grid altogether.
And of course, if we're doing a SP hammer economy, losing 50% hammers bonus in the Ironworks isn't so bad.
