I have not been on CivFanatics for while and restarted only recently, so I forgot my knowledge of taking screenshots. I Remember the Print Screen part and the pasting it in paint part, but how do I upload that pic to photobucket, then paste it in CFC?

When you use the post reply function, it has a manage files button way down the page. Click on that and browse your disk for the file. Then hit the upload button. Once it shows up on the manage screen, you can submit the post and it will be there.

But if you are already using photobucket or other image hosting service, you can also post a picture inline by enclosing the URL of the hosted image inside image tags. Just use the button with the mountain on it, and copy and paste the URL when prompted.

Remember that if the picture is too big, it will cause annoying scroll bars on smaller monitors. Just enclose the image in spoiler tags if you have a large pic to upload, so it will only cause scroll bars when expanded.

Is there no difference btwn uploading it direct to civfanatics and using photobucket? Recently, I've been posting updates of my game on a thread and the images, when I upload them direct, come out as thumbnails, as below. Does this change if I use photobucket? Gotta give em the eye candy. :high5:

When I hit the icon of the 'picture' just above this text box where I am typing as an alternative to the manage attachements below, it asks for a URL, so I must need a third party service to upload, yeah?

Also: how/where do you find/utilize spoiler tags? I just don't see that option.

Practice: with the picture icon above this text box I type in:
1400ADempire.jpg

And then with image managing below:

(QUESTION: How does the big image look on your screen? On my 19" screen it just barely fits...

Right, and the spoiler tags option is also up above this text box on the far right.

Cool, I hope this saves somebody some time.:woohoo:

When using a hosting service, you post the URL from the service directly into the IMG tags. The image is then displayed inline with the text, not as an attachment. (Which, as you note, shows up as a clickable thumbnail at the end of the post.)

Click on the button that looks like a cartoon dialogue balloon that says, "Spoil". (See it there on the far right of the toolbar?) That will insert the spoiler tags around whatever is highlighted. Or you can just manually type the square brackets with SPOILER and /SPOILER inside.

EDIT: Ah, I see I'm too late and you figured it out just fine. Yep, that's the ticket.
