who are you are supporting and 3-5 reasons why. Please don't get this thread locked. (At least in the first 2 pages, it's probably inevitable.)

Me? Mitt Romney.

1) I have a moral objection to abortion.

2) I am anti-Socialist.

3) The Iraq war has gone wrong in many senses, but I support international/interventionist activity if necessary to combat what I believe is a genuine threat from "Islamic radicalism."

4) I believe Romney has a shot.

Close Runner-up: Ron Paul. (Wait, you say, doesn't that conflict with 1 and 3? Yes, that's why he's a runner up.)

I don't like any of them at this point

Whoever's the closest to Libertarian position - currently it's Ron Paul.

I'll take any Republican over any Democrat at this point.

Favoring Ron Paul and Rudy Giuliani.

Mitt Romney is your primary abortion candidate?

P.S. Al Gore if he runs. He still has a couple months before he can decide to run.

I'm for Mike Gravel.

Due to Rudy, McCain and Paul, I really don't have much of choice, now, do I?

Congressman Paul, for his minimalist approach to government. Washington would be better with reduced powers, and a Paul Administration would likely lock up the capital so that the Congress and the executive branch butt heads for at least four years. Might not make anything any better, but it would keep it from getting worse.

signing on to a ticket just because the president will set a landmark if he or she wins is a sucky way of approaching things. i'd support gore if he runs, but I highly doubt it

They all really suck. And I mean, really, really suck. Another turn for the worse in American politics.

And Romney seems to have conflicting views on abortion, I don't think he's your best abortion guy.

If he runs I'll take Al Gore, given what we have now, I support Barack Obama.

He is just naive enough in foreign policy to save our collective asses, he supports universal healthcare, and he will protect our rights at home.

Any of the Democrats would probably be acceptable, and I could live with Mccain. Guiliani better not win, and if he does...:nuke:

I don't know McCain's abortion policy, but I bet they are more consistent. Not that consistency is necessary, it's just I wonder who the real Mitt Romney is.

His universal healthcare plan weaker than Edwards'

I agree, ok, I really do...but I still haven't had any "vote for this guy, he HATES abortion!" statements...@Hygro, isn't that awfully close to a threat? I'm really not sure that kind of thing is looked kindly on here...

 is what a threat?

the gun smiley following the idea of a Giuliani election.
