Which Option?

I requested Lithuania. But he won't let me reserve it. :( Even though he has known I wanted it for months.

Only people who have contributed significantly may reserve nations. Those people are Alex (Chinese regions map), Azale (labeled map), Das (significant aide with time line), and NK (base map). Of those, Azale and NK have made reservations. Das just made one as well, but he should know that by the start of the NES the Golden Horder will be...kaput.

However, I will be accepting (very, very gratefully) aide on updating the non-PoD effected regions of the map and, further down the line, possibly on stats. If any of you are interested in any of these fulfilling opportunities, please tell me so. I can be reached via this thread, PM, AIM (stignatiusjew), or MSN (Israelite9191@hotmail.com). Don't wait, call now!

Just how kaput is kaput? ;)

Btw, I believe I forgot to add that on the IsrNES 4 II map, the Mediterranean basin has too many reddish colours. Rather ugly and a bit confusing at times; perhaps recolouration for some of the empires there would be possible?

Kaput is KAPUT. :p

Yes, I can see where one might get that opinion. Personally, I have a fondness for dark reds, so I didn't previously notice. However, I will try to find other culturally appropriate colors for one or two (definately including Dacia).

EDIT: And the reds are certainly not as endeering as your browns. :p

EDIT2: And your purples.

I would play both, though leaning towards YosefNES

Kaput is KAPUT.

Kaput is head. Surely there are some pieces for me to pick up left?

By the time the NES starts? No. The Commonwealth will have thoroughly eradicated the Golden Horde and then, most likely, stagnated. You could, of course, lead the stagnated Lithuanian-Russians to a resounding rise. However, I highly doubt you (or anyone else) could somehow manage to gather together the fragmented Turks and lead them to a ressurection of the Golden Horde.

Err... when is the start date, again? I really doubt that the Commonwealth could realistically do all that much harm to the Golden Horde within the 15th century. Even after that it would be very difficult because of terrain; the Muscovites in OTL at least had the advantage of not being seriously engaged elsewhere and of having more experience with such a terrain type, and even then it was only Ivan IV that secured the Volga for good (Crimea remaining well out of reach; the terrain argument applies for it best of all).

Start date is not ascertained yet, but will likely be in the 1500s. And given the dynamic between Hungary and the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth will be very much focused eastwards. They have also conquered Muscovy, abrosbing whatever military advantages it would have into its own military. Anyhow, it all depends on where the TL "takes me" (as corny as that sounds). There may be a Turkish state that appeals to you. There almost certainly will be one in Turkestan anyhow.

1500s or the 16th century? I do hate it when people use these as if they were interchangeable.

At any rate, I think I'm going to switch to England in that case. I have some nice ideas for it too.

It's seems there has been some confusion as I did not specify this clearly in the first post, but I do intend to eventually do both, one after the other. This vote is just on which is my next NES.

I was originally thinking specifically the 1500's, although it may be go later in the 16th cenury.

United Kingdom of England and France thank you very much. :p Anyhow, taken down. Sorry Joseph, but das' already extent contributions trump your not yet extent contributions.

So it is, so it is. That is well in line with my plans.

You know, I really think you should bring a lot of relevant stuff up to date quickly, now that you started this thread. Because its dreadfully confusing.

On the second thought, I probably really shouldn't join this - I am overstretching myself enough as it is, and that's not counting real life and the preparations for my new NES, amongst some other things. Sorry.

11-11, I forgot to vote :D
