If you look at fuel cost per mile, Americans pay as much as Europeans, where 50 mpg is just normal fuel economy. European governments taxed people into efficient cars back in the 1980s, while Reagan told Americans they would all die if they didn't drive SUVs. Coincidentally, SUVs were the only thing Detroit could sell. Yeah, coincidence, that's what it was.
Enjoy, America, you were stampeded into gas-guzzlers by your irrational fears, and now you reap what you have sown. When I (and others) warned you and informed you, you told us to "shut up! Ah kin pay for the gayus so Ah'll drive whut Ah want!"
Feel sorry for you I do not. Coincidentally, I moved to where all your money goes. Yeah, coincidence. You can just make the checks out directly to me and save trouble if you like.
