Private Messages?

First off, sorry! I don't think I have ever posted on CivFanatics before and I think this is the right place to ask a question about how the forum works.

I am trying to send a private message to someone to ask them what UI mods they are running in CIV4, I have always been curious what people are running but hours spent scouring the files database have never yielded a result.

Perhaps I simply do not know how to operate it correctly... anyway...

The point is: Can I send Private Messages on this forum? I searched the help already and it says that messaging has to be enabled or I may not have permission to send messages, but I don't know how to determine which of those two things may be the issue.

You need to have a certain number of posts I think (maybe 5?).

You could try leaving a message on their wall on the profile.

And the UI mod you mean is probably the BUG mod .

The requirement to use conversations (which is what private messages are now called) changed. Any registered member may now initiate a conversation. I added this change to the NEW MEMBERS section of the CFC Full Rules thread. I made some other changes (regarding visitor messages, email messages, social groups and modding uploads) to that section as well. These changes probably were made in late 2016 when the forum switched from using vBulletin to xenforo.
