PMC
Modern day mercenary, comes with 3 INI files to cope with the varied sounds. Sounds by Ares de Borg.

When I saw the thread title, I expected a CivIII version of yourself!

I suppose this is pretty cool too, though... And very useful! Thank you!

Very nice unit. Anybody have any ideas on how to utilize it? I want to use it in one of my projects, I just don't know exactly how to fit it in.

Does this dangerous looking fellow have civ color? I know the teaser had civcolor pouches.. oh wait, do my old man eyes see blue on his backpack? That's okay then.

Great looking dude, Wyrm.

Wonder = "Blackwater" generates one PMC per n# of turns.

Also, hidden nationality, much higher defense and attack values compared to normal infantry.

Particularly like this unit. Especialy due to the equipment that you, even if not visible at Civ3 scale, combined from all sorts of origins. Could be German, Russian, American or Japanese- or from a ton of other places. Great looks, animations are smooth and spot on, lighting effects great. Yep, HN is a must for this one.

Weapon is russian, fore grip american. I don't even know if drum clips are standard for AK's like that. The Eotech site is from Michigan. Cammo is US Multicam, pack and kit could be made commercially by anyone. DEAGLE on his hip and chest are Isreali, scarf is local. And his tribal tattoos are pure american douchebaggery. Ex-military but could be from anywhere.

More expensive to build than regular units but with no support cost (studies have generally found that mercenaries are overall more cost-effective than regular troops who not only need to be paid, but equipped and more consistently supplied). Perhaps a hitpoint penalty to reflect that their loyalties lie in their wages and not necessarily any greater cause (though in reality this in itself is not always the case)

EDIT: Also, if you wouldn't mind being a bit foux pas, perhaps give Mercenaries the "Collateral Damage" flag to represent that they aren't held under the same standards of international military law, essentially counting as non-combatants (this could also factor into a HP penalty, as mercs have more to risk by being captured by the enemy)

They can't declare on hidden nationality units. Invisible, yes, but not hidden nationality. Reason being, they don't know who the unit belongs to, therefore can't declare war on anyone. AI will attack it, though, regardless of whether or not you are at war.
