The other day I was playing civ4 colonization and the power went out thus causing my computer to shut off (battery on my laptop is shot). I restarted and tried reloading my last save, but I got the message "failed to uncompress game data" right before the game just crashed. It did it with all my other saves as well as autosaves. It allows me to start new games, save them and reload them, but the files I had prior to my compuer shutting down don't appear to work.
I've tried copying the files and replacing them with the copies. I've tried renaming them and placing them in the saves folder. I've even tried giving them the same name as a save the reloads properly, but the game won't properly "uncompress" them.
Any ideas?
