Problem with avatar!!!

I want to upload one of these avatars but limit is 4kb.I can't destroy picture that much.Max what I can get is 12kb.Can some one help me on this.

Some programs allow for a reduction of quality, you don't really notice it, and it gets the size down

@ Zeek - true, but with small avatar sizes it's possible to simply reduce the image to 256 (or less) colours without loosing any quality

these should be under the limit

OK tnx.But whey the do not allow bigger pictures.For exaples under 20kb.

It should be reasonably easy to create an image that meets the requirements whilst it stops people from using animated avatars in general because they would quickly go over the size requirements.

I've used Jpeg compression tu min. but that didn't work,but now I know.Thanks Dease!
