I've been playing Civ IV for a while in single player mode, but I've recently started up with two friends in an internet game. We have one player running the game with difficulty of settler and two of us at the next level. I believe we are all at 1.7.4, but the game still flags up people as being on different versions. There are a number of AIs in the game as well.
The main problem is that neither the other player on the higher difficulty or can initiate contact to do trades etc. If I click on an AI's name, it works fine, but other players' names don't work. Can anybody suggest a cause and/or fix?
