Problem with patch & multiplayer

When I have installed the 1.02 patch it still says 1.00 in the main-menu in civ. However the readmefile in conquest says 1.02?! Is it upgraded???

And in multiplayer no popups shows.. Not when you get a new tech, and not even after a revolution?!?! So I can only be i despotism!!!

First, thed 1.02 patch doesn't change the .exe file, the main screen doesn't change. If you installed the patch, and did not get an error message, assume it went correctly.

As for Multiplayer Popups, check in the Preferences dialog. I believe in MP, most popups are disabled by default, but they can be turned on.
