Processor Choice

I'm planning to build a new pc and I was wondering if there's a huge difference in turn times between an i3-6100 and i5-6500 particularly in the mid to end game.

Plus, does an ssd over an hdd make the game faster?

i5-6500 + SSD is a pretty good bet, but even i3-6100 + HDD will give you relatively good gameplay.
It all depends on the videocard. If you have a discrete videocard, than both processors are OK. If you want to use the processor's internal GPU, than you should really go for i5.
SSD will give better perfomance, but it costs more. If you have enough money go for SSD.
