Proposal for change in constitution

I will try to summarize the discussions here and will come up with the draft of amendments to our constitution and changes to the registration procedure which then can be voted.

I am not happy with all these new regulations being enforced by Rik without a vote. Simply because you are a moderator(for which I do thank you) does not mean you can bypass votes and start making ultimatums. You cannot remove ANYONE from the team as our rules at present, do not allow for it. I would hate to have to bring this issue to the judiciary. Please, let us respect the system we have in place and not abuse any special powers we may or may not have.

I think the email requirement violates the forum rules aswell. It infringes upon my privacy.

I support it, full anonymity can be established with an anonymous email. Security needs overrides liberal issues.

Ok, how will asking for an email address possibly weed people out?

Please, lets re-register in good will. You don't have to post your e-mail, you can pm it to the moderator. Since Rik is the only person now who can enforce security measures, it might be better to just follow his guidelines. It is not about Constitution or freedom of citizenship, it is about security. And constitutional amendment discussion followed by voting will show in which direction we will go from the present point.

I have no problem re-registering, I would just like to know what the benefit of the email address thing is.

Believe me, I am all for security. Just ask anyone who was a member of our MSDG team while I was team captain.

But that does not mean I will sit idly while our laws and constitution are trampled upon. I tried working within the system, which is what we must do if the whole concept of a DG is going to continue to exist.

But, seriously, I don't think I need one anyway... I had an ICQ one some time ago... but didn't like it. I have no-one to talk to with an instant messenger, so I don't need it.

I'm going to be nice about it: I will vote no on any of these propositions, but I will stress that everyone shoould have a kind of IM, just in case.
