Proposed Joshua Tree NP

This is a discussion thread with a view to establish Phoenatica's second National Park. The proposed area lies in Asphinxia between the cities of Thebes and Memphis. It is a combination of a number of different habitats, from alpine woodlands through broadleaf forests and out into the scrub and desert, where the Joshua Tree is prominent. This is one of the premiere wildlife areas left west of Kashmir, but we need to act fast to protect it as development is already encroaching. If this gains enough support it will be put to polls early in term 5.

This proposal so far has the support of:
The Government of Asphinxia
The Mayor of Thebes

This site was initially suggested by Erez87

The site is much smaller that the Blue Mountains NP, but it is an important reserve nonetheless.

yes, If I knew how to make one, I was gonna ask someone....

just make a screenshot of the game showing the area. then use a graphics program to paint the borderline in there. maybe you could ask octavian to improove it then.
(tip: maybe turn the grid on before screenshotting. makes borderlines more easy to draw)

It is a new and separate park, but I have no problems with joint administration... y know, same ranger, etc.

Delphi county will have no problem with it, as we are already in a park.

Yes, I'm sure. I've never been to America, but:
I have heard of Yellowstone and I havent heard of Tenton so I am going to guess tenton is a pathetic little NP that you have hilariously equated with this one?

Teton. Directly located in front of Yellowstone. If your drive thru Teton you come to Yellowstone.

I'm the mayor of Thebes, no ruling from elephantine (danke) yet adn byblos is too far away. btw, I want to destroy the ship that maked byblos by----!! I'm gonna get me a missile.

I am going to name the mountain:
Mount Victory!!
If you remember, I failed to get Thebes re-named Victory (boy that was a dumb idea), but now I have my chance!! I'm sure the one would like it, he/she/it may even treat it like Olympus... maybe a little too much to hope for!

I've always thought that the Teton's were more impressive than Yellowstone is. But snowmobiling in Yellowstone during the winter was quite fun too.

The city of Abydos greatly encourages the creation of this National Wildlife refuge! And congrats to the gov'na for selecting to name that great mountain of ours Victory. Not to honk my own horn or anything, but he should remember that it was my idea to name a river or a mountain in honor of our fallen comrades. hehehehe
