(I'm new at this, having just upgraded to Civ4 Gold from Civ3.) In Warlords, I tried to load a saved game from the HOF that used the mod HOF-2.13.001 rather than the current HOF-2.13.002. Managed to load the correct mod, but got the "protected assets" message and the load failed. I gather that this is an old problem but not necessarily solved; couldn't figure out from searching old forum messages what is the current status and if a solution exists.
Same thing in Vanilla, using 1.74.001 instead of the current 1.74.002.
I *am* able to start a game, save a file using the current mod, and load it later.
(Civ4 Gold, Windows XP SP2. BTS not installed. Vanilla and Warlords installed at the same time with the current versions, 1.74 and 2.13, didn't need to patch.)
