PSA: No XP progress in Offline mode for Mementos

As far as I can tell, the game does not remember any challenges you complete while in offline mode so no XP will be gain toward unlocking mementos for anything you do while in offline mode. This is really annoying because you can get steam achievements in offline mode. I played all day yesterday on my laptop but was away from home so no internet connection. When I got home and reconnected, I still did not get credit for any of the things I completed with my leader. As someone who plays a lot of offline on steam deck and laptop when travelling, this really hurts. If I'm doing something wrong please let me know, otherwise I hope there is some way they can address this.
