PTW question

i'm thinking about buying PTW and I was wondering what some you guys/girls thought about it. is it a lot more fun playing online?how long does it take to complete a game online? etc. thanks.

Don't bother with play the World, buy Conquests. PtW is outdated now. Conquests, in case you haven't heard about it, is the newest (and last) addition to Civ 3. It has new Units, Gov't types, etc., etc. More info at www.civ3.com. Conquests comes with PtW, and you can find the newest Beta Patch to Conquests here, in this Forum, in the Civ 3 - General Discussions. It is called 1.15b.

i'm buying the gold edition becasue i don't have civ 3. i've just played the demos. so i really don't have much of a choice because gold comes with ptw. but thanks for your input!

Hello everybody! One question. Do you think Conquest is much better than PTW? How do they work on-line? Conquest is the latest version so I guess it's a bit more expensive. I would be very grateful for some advice. Salud!

Conquests is a bit more stable online and is much better then PTW because it has more mods/units/civs/rules. Plus, the editor is a lot better so making you're own scenario for pbems or something is easier and more fun.
