I got a question...

I bought C3C and I was wondering...

Can I some how play PTW..it says that the PTW is included in the C3C??

Anybody know??

Go to your Civ3/Civ3PTW folder and run Civilization3X.exe. You should also have a shortcut in your start menu under Atari->Civilization 3 Play The World.

Sure. Try this:


1) Rename (or delete, but I'd keep this just in case) $C3C\Art\Movies\Conquests.bik
2) Copy $PTW\Art\Movies\x_intro.bik to $C3C\Art\Movies\Conquests.bik

(Note that $C3C is where Conquests is installed to, and $PTW is where Play the World is installed to. Both of them should be in a subdirectory under where you installed Civ 3; the Conquests and CIV3PTW directories, respectively)

And it should play the PTW intro instead.

Why not make your own PTW shortcut? Go to PTW directory. Find Civilization3X.exe and right click on it. Select Create Shortcut from the menu. This will create an Icon Shortcut to Civilization3X.exe. Left click and drag this Icon to your desktop.

umm there is no movie in the PTW folder...

If you installed Conquests, then it is likely that they didn't include it to save space (altough it weighs only 22 MB). Someone would need to verify this, however, since I installed my PTW from the PTW CD.
