Putin to return as President next year

This looks like a trailer for a political thriller in which a right-wing populist seizes power in the US and turns it into a fascist dictatorship :lmao:

remember, he has no qualms killing potentially innocent people and has no qualms trying to block investigations into innocence. He's the perfect fascist.

I assure you that if it had ever come to that, then pretty much the whole of the USSR would have been turned into nuclear wasteland right after that.

Rather before that, than after.

You know what I mean. All members of NATO and Warsaw Pact would be targets of strategical nukes, but Central Europe would become a battlefield, where both sides would use their entire arsenal of tactical nukes. That's totally different matter, though of course the other countries would not be happy too.

In such scenario I would definitely prefer to be in USSR or USA rather than in Europe.

O.K. back on subject:

:D Yeah, come on, people, quit this off-topic rabbling about Putin, we're actually trying to discuss some music here, kthxbye.

Ukraine and Belarus should and will eventually become a part of Russia, 'cause we're actually the same Rus' people. Belarus - within a decade, Ukraine - later, probably by 2030. And about other former USSR countries I don't give three flying ducks. We have more than enough of territory and resourses and, as long as East Slavic unity is restored (actually, regardless of whether it is or not), we should ttly focus on internal development.

But there should be :(

Well, if you manage to persuade the Ukrainians and Belorussians - and I truly mean persuade, I know Russians sometimes have a problem understanding this term ;) - that it is a good idea to have a common country, then by all means. Otherwise you should respect their wish to remain independent.

Belorussians need not to be persuaded. I've met a good lot of them, been there numerous times. Make a referrendum - they'll vote for joining RF, perhaps not as numerous oblasts, but as a republic, which would make Belarussian language co-official and guarentee them some more ceremonail privileges that come with that status according to the RF Constitution. By the way, you ever seen written Belarusian? It's the most phonetic language evar, zei rait vords ekzaktli hau zei pranauns zem, sometimes it looks absolutely hilarious :D, but makes a lot of sense if you think of it.

As for Ukraine: the East, Rusins, Crimea and Kiev have always been ready to join. They don't even speak proper Ukrainian in Kiev, Russian is heard more often there. Podolia, Galichina, Volyn' - they are strongly opposed. Well, they should be free to not join then.

I'm fine with moving capital of Russia to Kiev or giving some more concessions to the newly aquired bros. I don't see how everybody wouldn't benefit from that.

Finally, this is what I'm totally agree with.

I believe in the similar thing as what has/is been known as Manifest Destiny in the case of US of A for Slavs as well. We know and can see that civilization is progressing and in my opinion it is going take turn which will benefit the Slavs and vice versa in the future. I think that in about 200-300 years time it is going to be a Slavs who will be in position to take a lead after what we know today as western civilization will exhaust itself to such an extent that it will not be able to stay on the top of things.
For this however the union of political body of all Slavs need not to be necessarily achieved as we can expect different ways of governing and coexisting of civilisations (and its new self-determination) in the future. Right now the union of Slavs would bring just new opposing block to an existing Western Europe latin and germanic nations which may not be that bad in itself if it would not create just another Soviet type-like entity with its cold-war-style attitudes. But the new vision, leadership and perhaps even proper time is yet to come...
