The Norwegian gaming site Spillhistorie.no has interviewed Michael Haire, the former artistic dirtector at MicroProse, who made art for games like Pirates!, Civilization I and II and later Alpha Centauri for Firaxis.
The article is written in Norwegian and can be found here.
However, for those of you who are not fluent, all is not lost! Spillhistorie.no has an English language version of the article too. That one can be found here.
The article goes through, among other things, his experiences with Sid Meier, creating art on Commodore 64 versus IBM PC, what he created for the different games, and the working dynamics with Bill Stealey and Sid Meier, co-founders of MicroProse.
