in Civ IV you could only gain a certail level for your troops while fighting barbarians. Some buildings in the later game, actually required that you have atleast one unit of a specific level. Think it was west point and level 5.
How is this handled in Civ V? Can we only fight barbarians and still get xp like if we were fighting another civ?
The mechanics didnt really work for me in civ IV, since I wasn't that into waging war, and with the AI stacks in towns it wasn't really an option for me in later games. I still wanted to have strong units so I could defend myself.
Now in Civ V it is different. 1UPT does prevent stacking, but how about the xp from fighting barbarians. Is it still like in Civ IV or is it open? you kill something or someone, you get xp.
