query on starting location "forced"

hey, apologies in advance if there is a more suitable sub forum for this

basically taken a blank earth map and doing my own starting location for settlers on all the civ's/c.s's i want in the game however the game doesn't seem to take this into account.

i.e i have english settler and warrior in england on the custom map but when the game loads they are randomly placed. what am i missing here

you have to check the scenario button in the game setup screen.

hmmm, the first time i loaded it was fine, now things aren't working again. how peculiar


it's choosing the correct civs when ticked but start location not correct

seems i have to put the map into a random mod folder and load from there?

can this not be done using the normal map folder?

you can use the normal map folder, but must start the game from the mod menu IIRC.
