Veni Vidi Vici!

This time we play as Rome on a large Mediterranean map. The speed is standard and here we are going for a Domination Victory. You will find regionally familiar AIs and a familiar map but you will still have to work for your meal. Enjoy!

It will be a while until I finish it, but I have been enjoying this game so far.

Thanks for posting. I'll be starting my game very shortly

EDIT: T227 DiploV
I started going Liberty, but then reloaded after I saw the extent of the impasse that was the Alps, and went Tradition instead. Did a classic Frigate rush to take Athens, Carthage and Marrakesh, then realised just how many of the capitals were inland and so decided I'd rather click 'Next turn' and decline Open Border trades than move huge masses of troops across a vast empty wasteland. NOT a good map for Domination. Firstly, I don't think the AI really knows how to play on this kind of map, and second, not having any kind of early neighbour means that anything other than a beaker-focused game is going to be extremely painful.

I could have won earlier had I not sunk so much culture into completing the Exploration tree, and put it into something better - like getting Scholasticism earlier or sth. Still, a respectable time. I'm now well over 7000 hours logged and keep swearing never to come back, but I guess I can't discount that if a pocket of interest in sharing Domination games on domination-friendly maps arises. It's a shame there was next to no interest in the Warmonger series, but hey, this is a 14-year-old game.

Best wishes to you all
