Question about factory and power

Am I correct with this;

Factory +25% hammers +50% with power
Hydro, coal and nuclear plants all provide power to the factory. But provide no additional hammers.

So there is no reason to build all 3 plants, you need only one.

And a question;
If I have a coal resource, can every city in my empire use a coal plant for power? Or does each city need its own coal resource?

You are correct with your hammer counts. In addition, if you get the Three Gorges Dam, then all cities on the same continent do not need to build power plants.

As long as your civ has access to coal, your cities can build coal plants. Ditto with uranium and nuke plants.

You only need one plant. Multiple plants in one city will do nothing to production.

You only need one resource for every city to have access to that resource, as long as all the cities are in your trade network (I'm assuming they are).
