    Hi everyone!
When it comes to games I always get a feeling of wanting to play around with customisation and create stuff.
That's one of the things, in fact, a major thing, that was interesting about the Civilization series of games. But I also know that people mod a lot of other games too.

I have messed around with the Civ 3 Editor, and attempted things like adding units by modding files/folders etc.

I'm particularly drawn to strategy games/empire building/map oriented games. I was wondering what people here thought were good games of this genre for people who like to experiment with modding and scenario editing. (Aside from the Civ series). Especially the ones that you think are easy to get into and encourage creativity. (With not too much of a learning curve or too tedious by comparison with the more difficult ones).

It will be interesting to see what people think.
