Question about PBEM BtS...

I just bought BtS and wanted to know if I can continue to play Civ4 with BtS against my cousin who only owns Civ4 ???

No, you cannot. In order to play a BTS PBEM he would also have to own BTS.

It doesn't matter if you have installed BTS or not, so long as you are both playing vanilla or both playing warlords, you'll be fine. One thing to note is that BTS auto patches both vanilla and warlords which will screw up your PBEM.
