Question about scanning.

I want to scan something large (it's an LP cover) but it won't completely fit on the flatbed. I know about Microsoft ICE for splicing them together but I have a problem because when I scan it in parts the edges tend to go blurry on the scan and it won't work for splicing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Try scanning smaller sections. Also be sure the lid is fully closed, and minimize the lighting in the room. Don't press on the scanner lid of course. That might help.
