Question about Stopping Science Progression

Is there a way to stop Science progression like in Civ IV? I liked doing medieval/Napoleonic battles with friends cause we could all agree to put out science slider to 0, now, I know there's no slider, but is there a way to stop science almost completely? thanks.

I think this is more a game setup question, not a mod question (ie: select starting and ending era).

Not sure, been a long time since I played Civ5 without a mod.

they might be in Advanced options.
