It is unclear to me who we are attacking next. If we have decided could someone please tell me. If we are still choosing we could put a poll up a vote. For the team suggestion (if possible, I haven't seen a map) if we could take some of the BABE's cities and trade them to SABER for tech/gold ect.

We only have SABER's word that the Council is that close to a space victory. Would it be worth the risk of pushing the invasion of the Council onto them?

I have the vague sense that SABER is trying to manipulate us into attacking the Council so that they can invade our core while our forces are split between three continents.

We *are* still Weak compared to them, aren't we?

That's what I thought. I said something to Camondobob about that in a PM. Well I don't think we'll get first, if we don't attack THE COUNCIL they will get the space race, if we do SABER might attack us. The only thing is maybe turning up research and trying to take space race (if possible).

Trap or no Trap, we dont have much choice.

If we attack SABER, The Council will burn gas to get the Space Victory

If we attack Council, SABER Might get the Space Victory, but the Council will get the space victory.

BABE is out of the game

an attack on both SABER and council is out of the question

Are we convinced that we cannot win the game? Is that what I am hearing?

Note: This is not a trick question.

Well, it's not over till it's over but I don't think we will win. Either SABER or the COUNCIL.

EDIT: Will someone please answer my question in the SABER thread.

we must do what we can to stop COUNCIL, saber will probably win, but we have to say we tried ;)

May I humbly suggest we do nothing about The Council and simply build our strength for another 15 turns? If SABER is seriously worried about The Council, they'll take matters into their own hands.

But if we let SABER invade, they could blitz us and win a domination victory. If we get the Council's land, we could blitz BABEland for a domination win. Or since SABER plays before us, let them take out some of The Council, then on our turn, take out the rest and hopefully SABER's new cities.

I don't know what to do here because I'm not a very good player.

This forum is a very good place to learn how to play better. Just read, ask and learn. Joining an SG is good, too, even if it is above your skill level, since you only play 10 turns at a time. Those 10 turns can be scary, but only at first. SGs helped me learn a whole lot real fast and real painlessly.

To do that (counter punch on Saber after they invade The Council) what kind of forces do we need to have in place? Too many and we will tip our hand. Too few and Saber might declare on us, sink our ships (I assume our units would be on ships) in order to prevent us from doing them harm on our turn.

Would an ROP be worthwhile, so that we might have a few units already on The Council's land (and thus not subject to sinking) when the fun begins?

What's a ROP?

Right of Passage. It allows us to move freely inside the culture borders of another team (i.e. get full benefit from their roads or railroads).

Okay thanks. I knew what a right of passage was, but I didn't know it was also ROP.
