Question on EraInfo.xml

Ok I have a question concerning the EraInfo.xml file.....

The Era's are divided up and they have different values for certin fields like build and research. It appears that they speed up the game in the different Era's. They also have other fields that give starting money and units during some of the Eras.

The question I have is does this File effect the whole game or just when you start the game in an advanced Era?

I think it's just if you start a game in an advanced era.

Yeah TGA is right. That file is used to establish the era starting options for new games. The values in that file represent what you'll start with if you start in that given era.
