Question regarding pre-order (Aztecs) and MP

Hi,
I'm looking to start an MP game when Civ 6 releases with my friends. However it's unlikely that all are going to pre-order, making the pre-order bonus (Aztecs) a bit of a gray area to me.

If I was to play a MP game with pre-order bonus, with people that DON'T have the pre-order, would I be able to play the Aztecs?
Or would the computer be able to be Aztec, and is the added Wonder still in the game during multiplayer?

A screenshot on the F2k forums showing Aztecs as a 'mod' in the main screen kinda makes me feel the Aztecs will not be select-able in MP if not all people have the pre-order.
(Though I really hope it will be possible )

We don't have much information on Multiplayer at the moment. They did say they are hoping to do a fast-play version of MP, but we're very low on details. Some of the folks that did some play testing last month were talking about possible getting to do some MP before release.

Indeed, we don't have any specifics on multiplayer.
But you can always turn the DLC off so you all have the same 'version' of the game.

That may not be the case. Since the Aztecs aren't DLC, they are only "locked" for 90 days. All their files should be there so all versions of the game will be the same regardless. So it may be possible but I wouldn't rely on it. Besides if your friends are waiting on buying then, I assume, they are waiting for a decent period of time so the "issue" would be quickly resolved.

Quite sure it'll be counted as DLC, just like the Mongols in Civ5. Also in screenshots the Aztec are visible as a 'mod'.

If it isn't a DLC, I wonder if the BE:RT-Starships unlockables (files there, but unavailble for use unless unlocked) would be a similar set-up with mp use. If someone wanted to test that, we could find out.
