Questions & Answers

Hi I've got a question...
I really like to play this mod, but I wanted to play it with a bit more diverse units (just graphical-wise). So I found the Graphic-Modpack "Varietas Delectat" http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=237192
But I have to load this mod like the others, although just the graphics changed as I'm aware of. So is there any way I can combine this mod with RFC, that would be perfect.
I tried to copy the Assets folder into the mod folder of RFC, but that of course didnt work, it was just a desperate try. So is there any chance to combine them in a simple way (without any programming etc) ?

Check out this thread for the modmod which combines Varietas Delectat and RFC.

I am playing a game with Russia, and I have some questions about the UHCs
I have the most up to date version of the Mod.

1. It says settle 7 cities in Siberia by 1700 ad, but the Atlas says settle 3. Is this a new feature?
2. This is fairly straightforward.
3. Don't lose a city before 1950 AD. So my question is, if you lose a city and get it back, will this be good enough, or is merely losing a city initially enough to void the victory point?

Cheers.

The atlas that you are looking at must be old. It was changed in a recent patch from 3 to 7.

If you lose a city to a foreign attack (barbarian, independent or another civ) you will fail the UHV condition. But if you give cities away (liberate), lose them in a conference, or lose them to a flip when another civ spawns/respawns - none of these will cause you to fail the UHV condition.

How much of Russia do you need to control to beat that UHV for the Germans? Is caputuring there 4 major cities and razing the rest ok?

You need to control more cities in the are than the Russians, or if they collapse, you only need 1 city I think. Just make sure no other cities are present in the area or they could respawn.

Thank blizzrd, my next question would then be, if it changed from 3 to 7, but the atlas I am looking at is old, then has the atlas changed as well, or more precisely, where could I find a new atlas?

Thanks Blizzrd. 'preciate it.

Another quick question. In the current version of the mod, is anarchy during civic change present or absent during a golden age? I seem to recall at some time in the past it was absent, but now is present, or is it the other way around?

I could not find a quick answer to this question, so that is why I am asking here.

Cheers.

Currently in RFC, anarchy will still occur during a Golden Age. This has changed in the past, but has been this way around for a least the last few patches. This sort of info can be found in the changelog.

What's the difference between
3000BC
and
3000BC Unlocked

the same question is asked for
600AD
and
600AD Unlocked

My unlocked games always have very annoying glitches, freezing, tech mess ups, incorrect spawns...

The only difference is that the unlocked save allow you to play with civ that you would not be able to play otherwise (like the americans).

If you are having troubles using them but not the original version, I'd say something os wrong somewhere.

HistoryFan, you might have the latest version of BTS but an old version of RFC, or vice-versa. That is the case for most people with unexplainable general problems. You ought to have BTS 3.19 and RFC for BTS 1.186.
