Questions on a standard game

How many human players is standard? How many ai? City states?

How do you know if your military is enough? Should you focus on tech (I like to even though I love poland) or build military (how much)?

How long does a free for all take? (there can be alliances but generally ffa mode) I only can play maybe 6 hours at most. I'm very passive in playstyle but yeah. . .

Most usual:
6 ppl, 0 ai, 12 cs, quick speed, simultaneous turns, turn times, quick combat/movement
Bets approach in mp - focus on production and food. Should u build military or not depends on a lot of things, I guess u should just get some experience.
Usual public ffa takes less then hour cause everyone quits.

If no quitters, usually after 2-3 hours it is clear who will win.
If it is close game with a lot of wars, ffa takes ~6 hours.
