Any chance someone could tell me how to modify minimum city distance (how close your cities are to one another).

Usually, this is found in one of two places - In the Global Defines.xml, located in Assets>Gameplay>XML or in DLC>Gameplay>XML.

Trouble is, I have both of these changed, but the minimum starting distance doesn't change in game -- it's still 4 tiles. (I want it to 0, because that's just the kind of guy I am).

If someone could just point in a direction, I'll be on my merry way.

Thanks!

I'm sure you can change it to 0, there's a mod out through modbuddy that changes it to 2, have you tried the ModKitThingy that they have for CiV on steam?

You mean the CIV SDK, right? Yes, that's what I use, and the files that are supposed to change this, aren't. Which is why I'm thinking that the file that the game references has changed (again).

I'm just curious if anyone knows why it has changed, and more importantly where I can find it. :crazyeye:

Just wanted to pop back in and say thanks for the suggestion on getting the mod. I picked it up, changed the hex distance to 0, and still have the same basic problem (though now it's at two hexes instead of 4).
