Quick question - land type choices

Somewhere in the HUGE site is a file that's lists the different land choices when in the custom game screen. Choices like Pangea (my current fave), continents, islands etc. It lists them and describes the differences and what to expect and other stuff.

Can someone point me to that file?

Right this second I'm wondering what exactly the fractal map is that so many tend to prefer.
