Without the slave specialist you would have right. If there wouldn´t be capitive military units which you can use as specialists with +10 production or science, gold and so on. The game can only be much more interessting when the K.I. is smart enough to do the same like the human player do. Collect as much as possible capitive slaves no matter how hard the beginning is to manage it. That´s the one of the reasons why i love this game so much. Be able with marines catch atlalists as slaves.

I began a new game and multiple production function well till yet. But the africa player and middle easter player like the north americans doesn´t want to research. The only research is from the other nations. Maybe it is nightmare difficult. But i turn on no handicap for human players and i have much more research points and the K.I. less, beginn with Neanderthal units. and a tribe so they have 2 cities in the beginning. What is not so bad, but this with the research penality is really unfair even on nightmare. As human player i must 3 times more collect food to get a city grow and the production of world wonders costs are doubled for human players. I could live with this huge penalites. But what is the most horrible since this SVN Patch i first used in my life is, that animals spawns really rare.So it has no sense to build much hunters for culture and science boosts, because there are not many animals.
It is now impossible to overtake the K.I. and total unfair. So i opended the world builder and build all myth wonders of land animals and sea animals. Even when you are really quick and visit as the first one the most natural wonders with merged stonethrowers and save and load till you get a technological boost you will be still after the K.I.
It would be only okay if in this patch would spawn a lots of animals like in the previous patches. No one can tell me, that this should be realistic with dangerous wildelife in the settings, that there are almost only neanderthals and barbarians, but no animals. I don´t want to patch it again yet, because i am scared you tell me it is okay to have this broken game now.

I'm playing with complex and developing traits but I got my 3rd trait pick but I can't upgrade an already picked trait the level 2? How do you upgrade your traits?

 

You can't get to higher tiers until later ages - they are geared to benefit the time periods they qualify for.

 

I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case. Thanks for the reply!

 

Once you reach Information era you can pick third level of trait.

 

I may be ignorant here... but is there a way to search the Event Log? Or export it to a text file (so I can grep it)?

I'm just wondering whether one of the AI's has gotten to Industrial Era.

I started the game again, because i had a bad consience, that i cheated too much to have all myth wonders. The third time worked well and not well. In the first game i had only neanderthals and one pigeon and cobra one the whole world. Later there spawn animals but they are so rare. It is really hard to find some animals now.Shaka, Gilgamesh and the north americans are total stupid and not able to research weaving. The A.I.´s put all the gold points into gold instead in researche. What i don´t understand, that Boudica has always so much research points like me, despite i kill all here hunters and she has really low myth buildings. I don´t know if she was able to catch any animal. But no matter how much i put effort to have all animals and all myth buildings Boudica has always so much research points like me.
I can´t believe, that she has 70 research points with only 2 cities of size 4.. This is unfair, because the A.I. has 1/3 less research points for technologies than me as human player. There is no option to deactive this on nightmare. What i really hate is that there are not many animals now. The game beginn 200.000 b.c. and want us tell that all animals where extinct before the human was born or what should i believe ? Only to make it more "difficult". There should be always a way even on nightmare to be the first one of all world wonders and religions. I set barbarian world and cities in the settings, but there are not many spawning barbarians.
I don´t know if i must destroy one city of Boudica, because she has definitifly to much research points and she could have so many of them definitifly. Even if she would have all research buildings and work tile improvements she would´t be able to that, because she has nearly no myth buildings. I am sure she would have still 70 researche points if i destroy one city. But i need her to produce slaves. I am worried, that Shaka could die of any barbarian unit. Because now spawning wooden spearmen and slinger´s.
I am not sure he can made it and he doesn´t want to research and doesn´t produce many other stone throwers. I also need him as a slave deliver. It is not nice, that no barbarian cities are spawning so i can destroy them and steal the technology and max out my capital to 8 with capative civilians.

 

Is the Self Heal Promotion not valid for Enforcers? I can apply it to Warrior types, Scouts, Hunters but not Enforcers...

hey, how I can build supply ship for lunar cities? can't find them anywhere. half of nanotech era now, I already played several games in space maps and supply ships were always becoming acceessible in similar time like construction ships or settlers, but I don't remember when exactly
