Quot Capita

umm i downloaded it, but when i try to run it it says "Tag: UNITCLASS_AIRSHIP_PROTO in Info class was incorrect Current XML file is:xml\Technologies/Civ4TechInfos.xml" and when i press OK, a message saying that Bts has stopped working pops up 20 seconds later...

it stops around the time when it says [Quot Capita] Init XML (uncached)

can anyone help me with this problem? ive uninstalled and installed like 3 times now >.<

yeah i have..3 times..

Try running installer as an administrator. You could also try reinstalling civ and installing it in a nonstandard directory (C:/Games/Civilization IV/)

Note that the above is generic problem solving stuff, I don't know what your problem is and I can't guarantee this will work.

So...how do you run this?
Its installed and I click the icon on the desktop but nothing happens. A hour glass briefly appears but then nought.
I tried booting beyond the sword and loading it from within there but it can't be found.

Having lots of fun with this mod, Thanks!

Not sure whether this is the right venue for bug reports but here goes. Seems like the free units from prototyping are a bit FUBAR -- specifically, many of them spawn when the primary tech is acheived, even if other requirements are not met. It is very noticeable with free TacNuke and ICBM (spawn definately without Manahattan project and possibly without both of Fission & Rocketry), and the PanserMaus which is practically invincable when it can be gotten with only diesel power and not the other "Tank" techs. Another killer one is when you get one of each mech at Mechatronics, even without the other advanced techs which should be needed (e.g. the Assault mech has other tech requirements too).

Also, the units always spawning in the capital is a little funny when it's a battleship, and you're landlocked :)

These early prototypes are really too powerful -- I would probably turn prototyping off at this point if it was an option.

Playing QC and entire civ revolts for seven turns with no warning or cause shown

Read somewhere that there's a revolution advisory screen (similar to city view screen) Where is it - how to view

Game gate 1804
Ctrl + Alt + O screen -- sysytem shows Quot Capita 4.5 BUG 3.6 [Build 1695] (BtS 3.19)

Game downloaded was version 5.3

any suggestions

anyone still working/updating this mod? Its a really good mod as it is only has some minor bugs that need to be fixed,

I am amazed with this Mod. Thanks Much. I have played Total War (many MANY MAFS), Overlord (Many MAFS), BTS 'Extended' (would not even start), Rise of Mankind (many many MAFS), and Nations in War (MAFS). I am running WinXP Pro Sp3 and I have 4 gigs of Ram. I have a Gforce GTX 260 (Core 216) PCIe card w/ 896mg ram.

I have had NO MAFs with this mod and I have most features turned on. Not a single issue so far. The interface and the general feel of it is excellent.

Thanks!

Greetings!
Just wanted to drop in and say how much I am loving this mod. Particularly the terraforming and planting trees which allows me to, finally, have some way to combat that damned Global Warming.

I have attempted to search out the answer to this question myself but have come up empty: Is it intended that one lose the ability to build advanced MBTs and mobile artillery after researching certain techs?
I ask as after researching fusion I lost tanks entirely except for Mammoths (and Behemoths later on). Also after researching cold fusion I lost Mobile Artillery. I am currently left with only mechanized infantry, standard infantry units and all the national units thus far unlocked. Compared to the wars I've fought thus far that doesn't seem like a lot of units to defend my rather extensive empire with.

Also, as another poster mentioned, I too am having the odd occurence of even naval prototypes appearing in my landlocked capital.

All in all, I am having a blast with this mod. Thank you much!

Observer,

iirc you should get back the ability to build MBTs once you have built your quota of the limited national unit tanks

Doesn't look like the creator of this MOD (Avian) has checked in for a while, but I wanted to compliment him on a job well done. This MOD is excellent, and a lot of fun. It seems to run VERY smooth on my system, even w/ graphics set on high. I know this MOD is not as "big" as RoM or Total War, but it is nice not having CTD's or MAF's.
The Better AI is great too, seems much smarter. I Definitely noticed during wars the moves that were being made by the other leaders...almost intelligent?
Keep up the great work!

Let's just hope he will be back soon, and updates Quot Capita with the recent version of the modmods.
This is definitely one of the best mods out there!!

I agree with what many have said. I enjoy this mod and the fact it was well-thought out. I very much enjoy other mods that take the civ4 concept to new levels, like Rise of Mankind. I think this mod is like what a possible expansion could have been, and if it was an official Civ4 expansion..I know I'd buy it.
