Where are the positive poll options?

It is good, and it is not buggy, but I still play PBEM.

I am mid-way through my first experience as a PitBoss player. It is a rapidly developing game with six human and two AI players. There is no way that a PBEM game of such scale would make it to 1914 in less than a month - but we are there. Excellent!

As with any multi-player game, the committment of the players is very important. And the person running the game needs to know what he is doing. If those two elements are in place, then PitBoss is the best multiplayer CIV4 game around.

Its a very good idea, but the fact that a server is only able to host one pitboss game at a time, makes it very hard to host enough games for all who wish to play pitboss games.

I would like to play pitboss games, but only very few are available to join.

You can start multiple instances of Pitboss running on different ports , thats not a problem.
Still this version of PB is a beta and is full of bugs.

Can I play Civ4 on the same system I am running the PitBoss on? I have a 1.6GHz Athlon XP, with 1 gig of RAM. I'm not too concerned about performance, I just don't want any crashes due to the two running at the same time.

    Thanks,
    Erick

    Yep, I do it.

EDIT: That is, I did it, I'm now using a dedicated server.

I'm happy with it, though so far I've only played two games, both with two humans and 10+ AIs.
