Hello racing fan from all around the world! :D

This is the week of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Montréal and, since there's a lot of "racing league" these days, I'm just wondering what do you prefer? F1, Cart, Indy or Nascar?

My favorite as to be Cart. It is such a competitve league with great drivers (Carpentier and Tagliani :D ) and it seems like (almost) everyone has a chance to win every week. Indy, well...if you like watching cars go round and round... never been a big fan of Nascas neither. F1 is just plain boring. :D

So, what's your favorite and why?

I like F1 for the drama and skill involved. This year has been fairly boring because of Michael's domination but the first 3 races and even Austria were exciting to watch. Monaco has zero passing opportunities but was still a great race.

Indy is utterly boring as there is no close racing or much in action.

I can stand NASCAR because they race centimeters away from each other and taps are quite common.

CART is fairly good with pure racing but I never really understood the points system and just never really liked it that much.

Formula 1 is on top for me, but Touring car/GT races and rallies are quite fun too

I used to like F1 but lately it hasn't been that interesting anymore (quite boring to tell the truth), I've always liked oval racing. I don't know why because it's typical US and here oval racing is just not being done.... NASCAR is always nice to watch because of the close racing, CART and INDY is always somewhat cleaner (more F1 style I would say but of course with ovals too). Touring car championships are like NASCAR great to watch because of the close racing. The only negative aspect is that except for F1 racing is hardly shown on TV here so you really don't get to know the names and just looking at cars going round and round and round and round and.........and so on just looses its attraction after a while. ;)

I like NASCAR for the close racing and the strategy involved with the pits and such.

I like F1 because those guys can drive their a$$es off.

I used to LOVE Indy/Cart racing before the split. I had never missed an Indy 500 until my 24th year of existence. But now I just can't watch subpar drivers race round and round.

I live in North Carolina, home of Nascar, so I'm going to go with that. I don't really have a choice: I think I***/C**T and F****** One broadcasts are banned in this state because of Nascar's power. Heck, NASCAR operatives have even censored the names of the other circuits!

F1 all the way.The North American love for going round and round just doesn't seem like real racing sometimes. There appears to be alot more strategy in F1 also.

As a big motorsports fan, I like all of them, but I prefer F1.

BTW I'm going to Montreal GP in a few days :D :D :D I'm going to saturday and sunday (not friday unfortunately). Can't wait:D :)

I used to follow CART but now they rarely show any of the races in England so I just watch Formula one now.

"Schumi from start to end"

Wow! That's exciting! That's mostly why I think F1 is getting so boring.

Ya, schumi from start to end, but watch the actionin the restof the field... Renault, Sauber, McLaren, and even Arrows mixing it up, very entertaining

see driver drive around in circles and trying to take as many left turns as possible or see driver trying to take the second place behing schumacher, that´s the question.

I'm just waiting for Jos Verstappen to come back. No one has such a good start as he does. He's a fine driver, he has proven that on many occations, he just doesn't get the right car. Remember him in his Benetton days? Back then he ruled together with Schumacher, but now...he was kicked for damn Frentzen who could bring in more money.

Hes a good driver but remember last year in Brazil? Opps I just got lapped and then took out the leader...

That was so cool. Especially the comments after that:
Verstappen: the guy just hit the brake so early in the corner!
The leader: well maybe my car is going a little bit faster so I'll have to hit the brakes sooner than Jos......
:D

De Lorimier, you are awesome for starting a forum on racing!
(Enough of this ****ing soccer)

Well, I am a Nascar fan, and I love the close racing. For all the other Nascar fans out there, who doesn't love the Bristol night race?

I watch the Indy 500, but the best Indy race is the night race at Texas. That is just too exciting considering the open wheel guys can't touch or there are wild wrecks.

F1? Well, it just seems a tad wrong that Michael Schumacher goes to Victory Lane whether he won a race or not. I just can't watch a sport where the finish is fixed and teammates let each other win. No offense, I know it's better than no racing at all.

This from a Dale Earnhardt fan in mourning.

I suppose I'll have to say F1 because it is the only one I get to see. My favourite team, Jordan, isn't doing too well this year though

No Superbikes??

The only one I watch out of those four is Formula 1, but after Austria, I can't say I'm as keen on it anymore.
For me, the Touring Cars are far more exciting to watch, though I rarely get a chance to see any races.

NASCAR bites! I live in an small town where racing is pretty big and we have our own dirt track, host a two national races a year and when people aren't there watching races, they're at home watching NASCAR. NASCAR is boring, it's doesn't involve skill for the driver, only the pit crews who have hella skill, and I just can't force myself to watch it!

Formula 1, on the other hand, I can watch. I have to say drivers who can make right turns show more talent than NASCAR drivers.......
