skadistic
Caomhanach
For anyone interested in his other (real) work his name is 'D' mite. Hes one of those good hip hop artists that isn't all negative. Something akin to KRS1. Even the style of which this song is done is a mockery of crunk.
Your statement isn't positive. It's sad.He speaks in a language they understand.

Well, part of teaching is conveying the information in a way such that they can actually understand it. If it that's what it takes, fine; that's what good teachers do. It's really not all that different talking to Latin immigrants in Spanish, but the 'Black native language' is just poor and vulgar English.

Not really. It's the language of black hiphop/gangsta/ghetto culture, though.
The last few lines on hygiene were racist I'd say. Besides that it's just another catchy gimmick, I doubt the guy had any real intention of bringing about change as much as just mocking for the sake of comedy.
Wrong. I checked out his other stuff and he is one of those "I want to change black culture" - types. He's only doing the hip-hop thing to get his point across.
He hates modern rap, so he claims he is not a rapper but a poet with a hip-hop style.
He can be out to do whatever he wants to be out to do, but because you make some songs you're not gonna change anything. This will get a few laughs and be forgotten. It will be more of a 'joke of the week' than actually lifechanging. Maybe if he works harder at this he can start some new trend in rap but this one song is not going to serve much purpose.
He does. I'm not saying he'll succeed, but he does have that intention.I doubt the guy had any real intention of bringing about change
I know. But you said:
He does. I'm not saying he'll succeed, but he does have that intention.
The first part of the song about reading and education actually made sense, but when he got down to the rest of it to me it lost meaning. It turned into just feeding into stereotypes to get laughter.
FYI, you can easily search youtube for the other Schoolhouse Rock videos if you want. There are many more.Phlegmak, thanks for the Schoolhouse rock video about the bill, that is exactly what the Simpsons parody is based off.
Yeah, the brushing of teeth and wearing deodorant I didn't get, not familiar with that stereotype, but hey, it might be true.
