Hey all, i know it's probably a little rude to ask for help in my first post, but i do really need it.

I've been playing Rhye's and Fall for about a year now, and i downloaded RAND a few months ago. It wouldn't work and so i just forgot about it. Then i decided i really did want to see what it was like and so i looked through all the error threads here. There was one that somewhat matched matched my problem (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=284926) and so i followed the instructions given there.

I have updated to 3.17 and it still crashes when i try to load the mod. I think i might have the wrong version of RAND, but i need to know how to check.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of crash?
Where did you install the mod?
When the loading bar is full everything stops and a windows message appears "Civ4BeyondSword.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience..."

It is installed on my external hard drive, in the Beyond the Sword > Mods Folder.

Then you're probably installing them in the wrong place. Are you putting the mod folders in the BTS/mods directory?

It should be, if you're using the defaults, C:\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\Rhye's and Fall RAND

That was one of the first suggestions i found here. And thus i have checked this, many times. Also note that Rhye's and Fall of Civilization is in the same folder as RAND and it works fine.

RFC comes with Beyond the Sword, so that's not entirely implausible. Do you have the latest release of RFC, downloaded from Rhye's website, or are you using the version that came with BTS?
The version that came with.

EDIT: But i downloaded Pie's Ancient Europe Mod and it worked fine. No errors at all.

Are you certain you're using 3.19? Here's the latest version of RFC for 3.19: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=6639

Download that, install it over the working one (back that one up if you want) and see if it works.
I have downloaded and installed BTS 3.19 three times, uninstalling Civ IV and both expansions before reinstalling them all and patching BTS up to date.

It'll take me a bit to download this, so i'll report back tomorrow sometime. Thanks for your unfaltering help, Arkaeyn!
