Random Crashes to desktop since update.

Hi guys, hope you can help.

I have owned Civ 5 since its release and have played it extensively with no problems on the highest settings. I got G&K also and have played it a lot also on the highest settings. However after a break from play and downloading a recent update i keep getting random crashes to desktop, sometimes after 5 minutes of play, sometimes after 30 minutes. I have been browsing the forums updating drivers and changing settings to no effect. At my wits end... Here is an attatched Dxdiag if it helps.

Same boat as you, haven't played in a while and just re-installed and crashing. Usually I get about an hour before it crashes, sometimes a little more and sometimes less. I've updated all my drivers, so I know they aren't the issue. I've tried playing in windowed mode, but that does little to help. This is with DX11.. I tried playing on DX9 but the terrain textures take forever to render and have to render every single time I move the map. Not playable that way.

i am having this same problem. im using dx9 and it still crashes. ive had this game since release and never had it crash until probably last update or whatever.

Having a similar problem in Directx11. Crash occurs in between turns when a leader tries to communicate. Seems to work fine in Directx9 but not as much fun in that mode. I was able to reduce the frequency of cashes by setting the leader scene quality to low on medium crashes every 3-4 turns, on low have gone as many a 20 turns). However, still too many crashes. Any helpful suggestions?
